As a father living with HIV, I condemn the treatment of parents being separated from their children at the border. Humanity has taken a turn for the worst when we take away our ability and our responsibility to care for our own. What is currently happening within our country is fueled by hatred and discrimination. 

As father and grandfather I could not imagine this happening to me. It shouldn’t be happening to anyone. It is vital that we use our voices to fight for those who are being stripped of theirs. Imagine trying to escape places that are dangerous and coming to America to start a new life. Wanting your children to have better lives should not be a punishable offense. Please join us in fighting the hate that is being pushed by white supremacy.

I could never have imagined this would happen in America. I believe it is vital we reunite these children with their families. I believe it is vital that we uphold America’s values and what this country was supposed to be founded on. Freedom for all, indivisible with liberty and justice for all. ALL!
