Join us in observing Transgender Day of Remembrance (November 20th), as we honor the lives of our siblings of trans experience we lost too soon, and celebrate the resistance and resilience of the trans and gender expansive community.
Every year, PWN members come together to submit names and photos of loved ones to commemorate on a virtual altar. We invite you to light a candle and hold these beloved community members in your heart.
This community altar was made by our own Alex Aphroditus, and features only some of the transgender and gender non-conforming people we have lost this year. We welcome all of you to participate and contribute to the virtual altar.
This year we want to thank the trans and gender expansive members of our family who transform their experiences, whether beautiful or painful, to create art and artistic expression. We uplift these important voices, today and every day.
Enjoy the following collection of art submitted by PWN members of trans experience. Follow us onsocial media for more art and videos submitted by members!
Honoring those we lost also means protecting and caring for our trans family while they're still here. Given the rise in anti-trans violence, including anti-trans legislation, it's more important than ever take action and keep our community safe.
