Join PWN’s regional chapters and state leads to meet the women and trans folks living with HIV leading the way in their communities
July 23, 2021: Everyone in the HIV community knows that the women and trans folks of Positive Women’s Network – USA (PWN) are some of the fiercest advocates around, fighting for—and winning—protections and improvements for human rights in their states and nationally. Whether it’s ending HIV criminalization, protecting access to medications for thousands of low-income people living with HIV who rely on ADAP, or ensuring comprehensive sex ed in schools, PWN trains and supports incredible change-makers who show up, speak out, and get sh*t done. And next week, you’ll have a chance to hear directly from the leaders in your region to learn more about who they are, what they’re doing, and how you can get involved!
The first-ever Leading with Love Virtual Tour is a trip around the country—via Zoom—to bring together women and trans folks living with HIV with PWN’s regional chapter officers and state leads; learn about the issues leaders in each region are working on and highlight victories and challenges; share concerns; and elevate community-driven solutions.
“PWN is excited to kick off this Leading with Love Virtual Tour to be in community with our members where they live and work,” said PWN Co-Executive Director Venita Ray. “As a membership organization directly accountable to women and people of trans experience living with HIV, this virtual tour provides us the chance to hear what’s important and what PWN should be doing to address issues important to them.”
The four community sessions are open to anyone interested in learning more about PWN’s state-based work, but women and people of trans experience living with HIV living in those regions are particularly encouraged to join.
The four sessions are:
Tuesday, July 27, at 5:30pm CDT: Stomping Through the South, Sister to Sister
Hosted by PWN Alabama chapter, PWN Louisiana chapter, and PWN Texas chapter
Wednesday, July 28, at 5pm EDT: Stopping the Silence Discussion Panel (Northeast)

Thursday, July 29, at 6pm EDT: No Sister Left Behind (Southeast Region)
