About the HNP Advocate Project
The HNP Advocate Project increases meaningful participation and leadership by communities most harmed by HIV criminalization by supporting, training, financially resourcing, and coaching BIPOC PLHIV to participate effectively in HIV decriminalization efforts.
HNP Advocates will participate in a structured curriculum with regular learning opportunities and will engage in relevant coalitions to end the criminalization of HIV and other forms of criminalization that impact people living with HIV in their own states. Skills and knowledge will include: learning how the state legislative process works, advocacy and policy skills, talking to decision makers to enact change, and community organizing tactics.
If you are a Black, Indigenous, or Person of Color living with HIV in Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas, or Virginia and are committed to decriminalizing HIV in your state, check out more details and apply today!
Applications are open until March 17, 2023.
