PWN Alabama (PWN AL) is honored to be part of PWN as an official affiliated organization. We mean business and we know that nothing about us without us is for us. PWN will give us the support, tools, and mentorship to make advocacy for women in the state of Alabama a reality.
Katie Willingham, Co-Chair
Katie is a woman of transgender experience living in rural north Alabama. She serves on the Community Advisory Board of Thrive Alabama (an ASO serving 12 counties of north Alabama) as Chair of the Prevention Committee. She also participates in the iAdvocate Project (an advocacy group of Thrive Alabama). She serves on the Alabama HIV Prevention and Care Group (a division of the Alabama Department of Public Health). Katie blogs with The Well Project’s A Girl Like Me blogging forum and is a graduate of PWN-USA’s Policy Fellowship. Katie spends her free time with her partner and her three Shih-Tzu fur babies, her deepest passion. Don’t mess with the fur babies!

Deirdre is
